"ما زال" من افعال الاستمرار، نقول "ما أكل فلان" ، ولا نقول "لا أكل فلان". (ولا يزالون يقاتلونكم…)
-إذاً "لا" مع المضارع: لا يزال، لا أزال، لا تزال، لا يزالون.
- و"ما" مع الماضي: ما زالت، ما زلت، ما زال (فما زالت تلك دعواهم حتى جعلناهم حصيداً خامدين)
