هى شجره تمشى واسمها سوقراطيا او النخله الماشيه كما يسمونها واحده من النباتات الاكثر غرابه فى العالم وهى نوع من شجر النخيل عنده قدره على التحرك لكى تصل الامملكن الاكثر عرضه للشمس وهذا سبب تسميتها هذا الاسم موطنها الاصلى العابات الاستوائيه وامريكا الوسطى وامريكا الجنوبيه فى حوض الامازون تمتلك جذور مدهشه تشبه السيقان تنمو فوق سطح التربه وهى التى تسمح لها بالتنقل واوراقها كبيره تشبه الريش وتنتج ثمار فاكهه صغيره يصل طولها من 10 ل 20 متر .
