سنه 1988 حدث زلزال فى ارمينيا بقوه 8.2 ريختر دمر البلد حرفيا وقتل اكثر من ثلاثون الف شخص ومن ضمن القصص الحقيقيه التى حصلت قصه زوج ترك زوجته وذهب ليرى ما حدث لابنه فى المدرسه ووصل المدرسه ووجدها تدمرت تماما وسقط على ركبتيه واخذ يلطم ويبكى بصوت عالى ولكن تذكر جمله قالها لابنه وهى مهما كان الامر ساكون دائما بجانبك .
وحدد مكان فصل ابنه واخذ يحفر الانقاض وحضرت المطافى وحاولوا ابعاده وتاثر الظابط بمنظر الاب وكانت الحاجه الوحيده التى كانت امام اعين الاب هو وعده لابنه واخذ يحفر 24 ساعه وفى الساعه ال 25 نزع حجر ضخم فظهر تجويف صرخ باعلى صوته باسم ابنه ارماند .
وفجاه ابنه رد عليه انا هنا يا ابى لقد اخبرت زملائى بانك ستاتى لانك وعدتنى ومد ابيه يده ويقول له هيا يا ولدى الولد قال لابيه لا يا ابى دع زملائى يخرجون اولا وبسبب وعد الاب لابنه وايمان الطفل بابيه تم انقاذ 26 طفل .
يقول تشارلز يكنز الوعد اذا كسر لا يصدر صوتا بل الكثير الالم
